A Little about me

My name is Tina Ramsden, my journey into yoga begin in 1979, when I discovered a Yoga book in the school library, I was hooked. I attended SUNY Cortland and worked as a Recreation Therapist, using art, movement, fitness, music, nature, as a tool to heal. In 1987 I began my actual studies of yoga and it blended so well with the Recreation Therapy, it was a natural fit. Through the years I moved in the direction of making yoga poses safer, based on Bio-Mechanics and wanted to keep classes community oriented and affordable to all. It has been such a gift to be a yoga teacher, blending all the skills I have learned over the years to make this a path to age gracefully with strength and functional flexibility for the body and living mindfully and with gratitude . Science blended with yoga concepts is the best of two worlds, East and West, blending together makes the practice rich, intelligent and attainable throughout life.
